About the Project
Rosen Shingle Creek is a 1.7 million square foot, 14-story, 1500 room resort and convention center in Orlando, Florida. The facility is cooled by a water cooled Central Energy Plant (CEP) that provides 3900 tons of cooling through 63,590 linear feet of chilled water pipe. The mechanical installation included 905,012 pounds of sheet metal, 14 Air Handling Units, 57 Roof Top Units, 1729 Fan Coil Units, 1708 Exhaust Fans and 3,381 pieces for Air Distribution. Not only is Shingle Creek Coastal Mechanical’s largest project to date, it is also a successful Design-Build endeavor. By working openly with the owner, engineer, and construction manager, we were able to lend our experience and expertise and save the owner $4,000,000. This 1500-room golf and spa resort boasts the largest column-free ball room in the Southeast United States, making it an ideal destination for large groups of conventioneers. Finished three months ahead of schedule, this is a crowning achievement for Coastal Mechanical and all the other Team Members.
The 255-acre luxury hotel offers 1,501 guest rooms and suites, and 524,000 square feet of dedicated, flexible meeting/event space that includes one of the nations largest column-free ballrooms at 95,000 sq.ft.
